By the very nature of the work we do here at Watkinson’s in the fields of Transport, Installation and Warehousing we have to be particularly conscious of Health & Safety issues as they apply to both our own workforce and – equally importantly – our customers.
We cannot afford to treat Health & Safety as an afterthought or an inconvenience; rather it needs to be an integral part of everything we do, and to be woven into the very fabric of our culture.
That only happens when Health & Safety is second nature for the whole workforce – from Directors to the most junior members of our staff.
Regular monitoring
At Watkinson’s – as it should be with any professional company – Health & Safety is kept under constant review, not only because there is always room for improvement but also circumstances and working practises are constantly changing.
Risk assessments need to be regularly monitored and updated.
For these reasons we sought highly competent and experienced partners to support us in this area and, through a programme of training, mentoring and safety events they help ensure that everyone within Watkinson’s is involved and fully committed to the concepts and practise of Health & Safety.
Effective solutions
Our consultants bring a wealth of experience developed from working across a wide range of organisations, enabling them to highlight issues we might otherwise have overlooked and their support has been invaluable in regularly reviewing and updating our risk assessments and identifying effective solutions to the risks.
This is good news for our customers who can be confident we will continue to deliver products and services fully compliant with Health & Safety legislation and industry best practice.
